Welcome to 2nd - 3rd Grade!
Our adventure will take flight in just 2 weeks. Gear up for a
fun year of “exploring” together. School starts Tuesday August 25th
bright and early. I will provide all your learning materials. A backpack, water
bottle (optional), lunch (or plan for school lunch), and a plan for afterschool
is all you need for your school day that first week. Keep all your awesome back
to school supplies at home and be thinking of using them to create your own “at

As we make this annual transition back to school, I am sending
you some information to mark on your calendar. I want to invite you to
Our 2nd-3rd
Grade Meet and Greet.
When: August 19th (next Wednesday evening)
from 6-7 pm.
What:
This will be a fun way to come check out where your classroom will be, see your
friends, and introduce your parents to your teachers. I plan to brief families quickly
at the beginning about our schedule, homework expectations, and ways parents
can help support the learning. If you can’t make it, email me and let me know.
First Day
of School Breakfast
When: August 25th
First Day of School 8:30-9:00am. What: Morning beverages/ pastries/
fruit will be served
There is
no charge for this breakfast, however, donations are greatly appreciated.
I hope your summer break is full of fun, inquiry, learning, and
rest. Maybe you have done some fishing, read a great book, hiked the Long
Trail, spent time in the water, designed a robot, or went on a great trip? I
can’t wait to hear all about it. Oh, and please….keep going, it’s not over yet!
You have 2 full weeks of vacation still to be lived! Enjoy!
